We met through mutual friends. The day before we were going to meet on our "set up" (read: blind date), we ran next to each other on the treadmills in our housing complex's gym. I (Jess) eventually figured out I was going to go out on a date with the "guy with the Giants hat" and it's all history from there!

shing my second year of grad school in Pharmacology at the University of Virginia. I was born and raised in Pittsburgh and went to Duquesne University. I'm a die hard Steelers, Pirates, Penguins fan! I love love love all baseball! I also LOVE dancing! As a side job, I dance with a company in Charlottesville and I also teach dance. I really really really miss Pittsburgh, especially my friends and family! (...and going to sporting events...and actual shopping...and civilization...) Charlottesville is a great place to get an education, though, and I'm really enjoying my time here!! There is also really great food!!!!

I am currently a sports broadcaster for Newsradio 1070, WINA! My main responsibility is acting as the producer for all University of Virginia Football and Basketball games back in studio, it can be pretty crazy! I love helping out with our sports show, doing morning sports updates and doing play by play for the University of Virginia Baseball team.

I am originally from Tenafly, New Jersey and went to
Syracuse University for Broadcast Journalism. The story behind how I ended up in Charlottesville is wacky. After i graduated college I tried very hard to find a TV Sports anchor job. (had some trouble, LOL) One of my best friends was moving to Charlottesville to be with his girlfriend who would be a Senior at the University of Virginia, I decided to tag along. I got a job a local clothing store and eventually found my way in at the radio station!
I love sports! I am a rare NBA fan as well. (GO NETS!) Nothing like watching a baseball game too! Maybe this year my Mets will beat the Phillies. Big Giants fan, the David Tyree catch against the Patriots is one of my favorite sports memories of all time! Looking forward to talking food and sports with all ya'll!
